Examinations
Alison School of Dance are proud to offer a wide range of examination options to cater to the needs of all of our students. Offering both regulated examinations and performance awards allows a progressive system for each individual student, there is something for everyone.
Regulated Qualifications
Regulated qualifications are offered through the awarding arm of the British Theatre Dance Association, the ‘Graded Qualifications Alliance’ (GQAL).
GENERAL GRADED EXAMINATIONS
Grades 1 through to 8 in the following disciplines:
Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Acrobatic & Musical Theatre
VOCATIONAL GRADED EXAMINATIONS
Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1, Advanced 2 and Professional Development in the following disciplines:
Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz and Tap

CRYSTAL AWARDS
Performance Awards are offered through the British Theatre Dance Association, and give students the opportunity to achieve in order to progress as well as build performance skills and audience appreciation.
